Advanced Tracking Solutions for UAV Missions

Case

Rapid Proliferation of Unmanned Aerial Systems: Opportunities and Risks

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) are on the verge of rapid proliferation, driven by swift advancements in performance and functionality. Improvements in power storage, avionics miniaturization, materials, and design methodologies, along with accessible commercial and open-source software, will allow for the development of increasingly smaller and more affordable platforms, suitable for a wide range of applications. While these technological advancements present significant opportunities for both military and industrial sectors, they also pose a substantial risk for misuse by criminals and terrorists. Recent incidents have highlighted that small UAS can indeed become a real threat to both civilian and military targets.

Challenge

Tracking Prime Advanced Video Tracking Solutions Deployed  for Enhanced Border Control

Our client, a leading provider of aerial surveillance and security solutions, has integrated Tracking Prime’s advanced video tracking systems into its fleet for enhanced border control operations. Solution

Tracking Prime Advanced Video Tracking Solutions for UAV Missions

Athis Technologies has developed a range of robust video trackers tailored for mission-critical applications such as UAV-based border control, search and rescue, public safety, and surveillance missions. These hardware and software solutions boast state-of-the-art image processing, making them ideal for scenarios where recording and extracting information from video imagery is crucial.

The video tracking boards are engineered to maintain a low SWaP (size, weight, and power) footprint while delivering high-quality imagery. They ensure precise control of onboard drone and unmanned vehicle gimbals, enabling high-precision tracking of targets on land, at sea, and in the air.

Key intelligent software features include route tracking and target movement and direction prediction, even when visual contact with the target is lost. The target tracking function can be activated automatically or manually when the target is within the camera’s field of view, providing real-time imagery for critical missions.
